MZIMBA: In a latest case of child abuse a mother in Mzimba has severely assaulted her six year old step son for stealing relish. The boy is currently admitted to the district hospital.
The police in Mzimba identified the mother as Olive Chimwala, wife to a policeman currently away from home for studies.
On Friday, the young boy is said to have stolen relish forcing the step mother to handcuff the boy and started beating him severely.
Upon hearing the boy’s loud cries neighbours rushed in to rescue the boy.
